- How do you cite a direct quote differently from a paraphrase? Direct quotations are identical to the original ,word for word using a segment of the source that is attributed by the original author. Paraphrasing is summarizing a citation into your own words.
- Can you copy and paste information for a report from the Internet? If no, why not? If yes, how? Yes you can but in order for you to copy and paste it you need to put quotations around the information and cite the website and author you got the information from.
- What is a reference? What is a citation? Where do they appear? Citation is a quotation from or reference to a book, paper, or author. Reference is the use of a source of information in order to ascertain something. They appear at the very end of an essay or paper and citations are on a reference list.
- For you personally, what is the most difficult part of using citations and references? The hardest thing for us is finding all of the information to put in the citation.
